It's New Year's Eve...

...and we decided to skip the annual party at my cousin's house this year. Boo, but last minute plans changed due to the fact that it's getting really chilly outside and I...or I mean, WE are a bit hesitant to take Baby H out to party til wee ours of the new year 2011. She's too young for it. Sorry to say, but we've been flaking at party invitations nowadays. Bad.

Next year when H is over 18 months old, then she can party with her cousins: Sam, Lia, Mia, Tasha, Anna, Audrey, Dani, Zach, Jacob, & Cole. Sure, we missed out again the delicious food and perfect New Year cocktails. Remember last year's fun?

Anyway, Baby H and I seemed to have declared a sweet "PJ day" today and got caught up watching Toy Story 1 & 2 on DVD. It must be the winter weather outside, too?!? Too lazy to do anything. Just the snuggles, giggles and baby talks we shared consumed me up.

Same day last year
, we found out the sex of the baby. Now, she's one curious little bebe girl all dressed up in polka dots pink and red on New Year's Eve!

DH came home from work early and he quickly stopped by the grocery store and picked up a bubbly bottle. I on the other hand got busy in the kitchen and cooked a pretty decent NYE dinner for 2. Thankful enough, our freezer is stocked up well. Whew!

On the menu:

For appetizer: fried lumpia spring rolls and
gingered mussel soup

For main course : Sauteed Crabs in lemon garlic sauce
( Note: I had to call home ( my mom in Manila ) and doubled check the recipe!)

For dessert : hot blueberry pie (sugar-free) & vanilla ice cream
( Note: I asked my cousin-in-law to buy the frozen pie last week in Tracy, CA )

Aww! Not bad for a last minute change of plan, right?

I end the 2010 blog-post with Baby H picture taken by my SIL on Christmas Day.

Now off to enjoy the hot pie and cold ice cream before DH pops up the bottle. Cheers!!

May y2011 bring you and your family lots of JOY, CONTENTMENT and PEACE Of MIND.

Have a Happy New Year 2011!

Baby Hannah is 7 months

Time do fly like a rocket.
Can you believe it? Baby H turned magically 7 months yesterday.

On Christmas Eve church service, we met a number of little angels who did the "Baby in the Manger" skit, and it was absolutely adorable. Our Auntie Au & Uncle Juarez told us that soon enough our lil' Baby could be applying to be another little angel. Sure, babies grow fast. We are enjoying every minute with her. She's a total JOY and I can't help it at times, when I become teary-eyed praying, thanking the Lord Almighty for such blessing bestows upon us. Right now our hearts are full of happiness and gratitude because of her.

Precisely this week, I'm home due to company shutdown (off work the entire week) and savoring every minute spent with our lil' angel. The snuggles...the giggles...the laughs...the feeding time are all good.

Our happy and cheerful Baby Hannah is now 7 months:

... wearing 9-12 months clothes for both her long sleeves shirts and sleepers.

…totally likes rice cereals/oatmeal for breakfast, Gerber veggies for lunch. She started eating fresh avocadoes and egg yolk (hard-boiled), Momma /or Grannie mix it with her Gerber veggies.

…for dessert, she would enjoy much fresh bananas or apples on top of a variety of Gerber fruits such as pears, peaches.

…takes naps 2x a during the day for at least 45-55 minutes.

…nite-nite time is between 9:30ish to 11.

...she has started crawling backwards, though? eeekk! hoping she gets to coordinate more "forward" soon.

…thinks all board books are a type of meal. Hehehe! After a few minutes of stare, it goes to her mouth. Hmm, bad! btw, she received a new one from her cousin Ian.

…is not getting tired of playing in her TinyLove play gym, though she spends most of her time in her Baby Einstein activity center.

..an official sitter in the house.

...there are days when her Daddy’0 calls her a Poo-Poo head coz she would do Item#2 4 times a day! Oh, yeah? And it stinks… Lol.

…nursing is still " on " for her and Momma, though 1 milk session a day is supplemented by formula.

...giggle, giggle. then followed by hiccups, hiccups. Acck!

…seems like her 1st tooth will come out soon, Momma can feel it already. And more and more drooling episodes.

…received 3 more new cute hats for Christmas. Too cute that a photo session with just those 8+ hats is in the planning stage.

…babbling too many baby words such as: bababbababa, mamamamamaa, dadadadadada.

…almost all her toys goes into her mouth now. Her favorite is the new Ladybug teether that has a vibrator, it tickles and massages her gums fo sho!

…with Daddy’o huge TV, she doesn’t have a choice but to watch CNBC or CNN Newsroom channel at times. Though, BABY Einstein videos makes her giggles and completely focus.

…listens very well to classical music. She’s mostly quiet …or sings with it.

…became the ultimate JOY & INSPIRATION of the family over Christmas. Became a spoiled-rotten babe with all those toys and stuffed animals she received.

... a winner coz she also met her 2 second cousins from the Mercado side on Christmas Day : Saejie (12 days old) and Kenjie ( 3.5 yrs old ). She jammed with all her Ates and Kuyas from the delos Santos family on Christmas Eve.

…nicknames to date: Bubba, Balingling, Sweetheart, Poopoo head, TAC, and Little
Hannah.

XOXO.

H@ 6months2weeks

Ten days late, here's Baby H's 6th month development updates.

At 6mo2wks, she's:

…currently owns over 8 different new hats, bonnets, beanies. Ha! Mama went crazy shopping!
…for diapers, it’s size 3.

…weighs 16lbs 10oz as of last week’s 6th month Wellness appointment

…always have the cutest smile after waking up each morning.

…not so expert (anymore) in taking naps during the day. She only do it for 30-40mins instead of 2 hrs.

…her sleeping pattern at night is 95% defined now. She goes down at around 10pm and sleeps through the night. Yahoo!

...holds her head up high, arms stretched… and so proud during “rolling” time.

…working hard to coordinate her arms and legs to be able to crawl. Go, baby go!?!

…looks around for all and everything interesting

…has the cutest yawn ever, when she’s tired and sleepy already.

…she met Mr. Santa couple of weeks ago and her picture taken with him.

…always pinches her Daddy’s nose, and Momma’s cheeks like she’s never pinched
before. Ouch-y! She has discovered those cute chubby hands & fingers.

...loves to look at her face on the mirror - and stare, and smile …and gets excited.

…now eating rice cereals for breakfast, Gerbers 1st food organic sweet pototoes. green peas, peaches and bananas for lunch & dinner. Horray for Solid foods!!

...still gets hiccups after a good giggle and laughs. Boohoo!

... has lots of nicknames to-date: 1. for Mama- Baba 2. for Daddy’O— Bling 3. for Grandma --- Sweetheart, Little Hannah

…likes it when she’s being ((cleaned)) after doing No. 2. her smile looks like she’s guilty all-the-time, too!

... spends a lot of time playing on her Little Einstein Activity center. Makes noises and wriggled a lot while there.

…an expert when it comes to burping even when sitting down.

wears size 6-9months logn sleeves shirts and sleep n'play overalls.

…is in love with her book “Little Feet like”. Her pre-locomotor skills(focus on things right in front of her) are exceptional!

…after discovering her voice, she’s babbles non-stop tunes such as: lalalalala, babababa, mamamama

…she’s also enjoying watching Baby Einstein videos her Mama picked up at the Goodwill Store.

Holy moly, time sure flies that fast...and she's growing rapidly each day! I can clearly remember when I was still very much preggo trying my hardest to be healthy and careful. Now I honestly feel like I'm missing so much of her development during the day coz I'm working hard for the mula? Not quite yet ready to give up my career here, making the famous life motto: "Save as much as you can for the rainy days" as the favorite concept now.

XOXO.

A lazy Sunday

and windy, wet and cold at the same time.

It's almost noon and we are all in PJs still.

The TV is currently on and playing Baby Einstein video for Baby H. She's happy and CANNOT BE disturbed. Once again, this milk-making business of mine woke me up at 6 early, what else to do after nursing and watching HBO movie so early... but ran a quick grocery shopping at Safeway by 9:15ish. Picked up 2 cooked dungeness crabs (huge!) for it is on sale for $2.99/per lb until tomorrow. All I have to do on my list today is cook misua with ground turkey soup. DH was up early too to run errands at Home Depot, Target and get oil change for the vehicle.

Friday night I was able to accomplish some crafty project I've been working on since November. Acck! Finally. I used Ali E's free downloadable christmas tags here. Finished over 40pcs tags and planning to share the love with my Baker's Dozen Creative gal pals on December 10th get-together party. I'm looking forward for this evening to pure creative bliss and yummy food with them!

The rest of the day would be spending time with the baby and in between play with my 2010 December Daily mini-album. It's day 5, and boy I've got more to do here.

Have a good one!

XOXO.

It's beginning to look like..

Christmas

Baby H looks like a lil' boy on this picture, don't you think? Also, she looked confused and tensed with all the colorful christmassy stuff around her. Teeeheee!

The countdown begins.

22 days before Baby H's 1st Christmas ever. Her momma is debating if she should get her this 1st Christmas outfit, or just go for any red & black dress for her. Uhhhmmmm?

Another wet weekend coming right up for us therefore the initial "plan" is to hang out at home. Maybe H's momma will FINALLY deal with her December Daily 2010 mini-album project she's working on.

In addition, since no tree is standing this year ( again! ) we would be improvising the plan for a family Holiday photo shooting. Not sure yet if we are just going to hit a hotel lobby downtown and bring our cheapo camera and the tripod. Uhmmm, we shall see.

Have a good weekend ahead and stay warm & dry!

XOXO.
