Over & out after 11 years

Well, after over 11 years I'm finally moving on to the next chapter of the book in terms of my career. I was laid off on Friday afternoon. Naturally, it came down a little quickly than I thought, I was shocked and saddened. They pulled me from my cube around 2. Clueless that there's a RIF going on ( since I assist HR I would normally know this types of program the day-off, in the past my Boss who is the GM/President of the company would pull me in his office and advise me, too). Nonetheless, I tried my best to keep it together after I left the conference room
( I was teary eyed, maybe red-faced! ),called DH, text my sister, packed at the best I can, copied personal files that I have, sent my Farewell message to the whole company's Distribution List, and walked out with head up high and a fair severance package. Whew!

At long last, what a relief! The day I've been dreaming for the past 9-11 months arrived. Enough is enough. Looking forward to learn new things. I believe at one point I vented here and blogged about how unmotivated and (at times) mind-tortured me @ work. So, Thank you! Thank you very much! All the frustrations was let go exactly at 4:15pm last Friday. Whew.

To date, I'm smiling big as I'm staying home with the bubba. Take care of my family, enjoy the pre-paid few months, and collect unemployment from Uncle Sam. Joining the Stay-at-Mama band, until I welcome a new beginning. Hee!

Hello everyone,

Unbelievable how fast time just flew by .Today is my last day, and I personally do believe all these things happen for a good reason.

It is been a great journey for me in the past 11+ years at Catamaran Communications/Infineon/Lantiq. It has been a privilege to work with all of you.
Thanks for the fond friendship we have established,too.... I am sure we will all meet up again in the very near future.

I wish you and Lantiq NA the very best of luck for the future.
