FYI: It's Leap Day!

Half an hour before this day end, why yes I'm blogging from my phone in PJs... tired and brain toasted from tonight's ACCTG. class. Enough of worrying about FIFO/LIFO, Intangible accounts, COGS, and UOP method of calculating depreciation. Sigh!

How could I pass it up not blogging? Leap day only comes every 4 years. Earlier before leaving the house for school, I did remember to post a short momento describing what I did today (special?).

Bummed I missed taking a photo of H before I kissed n' hugged by-bye. But here's one I took beginning of this week. Btw, she just turned 21 months which reminds me I have to work on her monthly development updates. Gosh, next time Leap year comes around she'll be going in kindergarden or 1st grade! :-)

So aside from carrying a new haircut, haircolor and a happy feet on Leap DAY, I became productive around the house ( read: kitchen clean-up, carpet all clean and vacuumed, laundry was put-away ) in between checking work emails and flipping this heavy Accounting book.

Leap Day 2012 documented. Done!

XOXO.

master it.

**New Things

Last week was again a blur. We had that long weekend, however it felt like it only waved. Couple of **new things also had to be decided last week in the house. First off was H getting the permission to sleep over (ALONE!) at her grandpa & grandma's house. We had to make that tough decision due to an important appointment Monday morning for both of us. After the post birthday luncheon for BIL, she stayed with Papa & Mama for the night. Well, I felt so different and of course, 100% we missed her! I must have made 3 calls that night checking up on her. In the end, we thought it was necessary and worth it. We gave her millions of hugs & kisses as soon as we came home late Monday afternoon.

Second **new thing we did last week too was the long over due "Date Night". DH& I once again went back to Kaenyama Japanese Restaurant for some delicious sushi rolls and $1 each fresh oysters! I posted on FB declarin...."no highchair included, people!!" Heee! After that quiet dinner, we stopped by next door Yogurt Place and bought our bubba a tub of frozen 'apammm' (Ice cream/ yogurt ).

Third, **new thing I encountered was this traffic school experience yesterday for 8 hours. Initially, I thought it was a waste of time and a hassle. (Dang, photo enforced intersections!!! ) However, the intructor helped all 22 students in the classroom not dose off, he made the entire discussion interesting and I went home sharing all the **new things...err, **new rules on the road.

Last **new thing is PROJECT LIFE 2012. Alas, all products are in the house and slowly I've been catching up. Eight weeks to tackle? I decided to change my approach for me not to overwhelmed and since I have other crafty projects in mind. Woot! Anyway, I can' wait to take pictures and share it here soon.

Have a good week ahead...

XOXO.

Goodnight Moon

Happy Sunday! thus, happy long weekend for some of you too due to President's Day Holiday. We weren't suppose to have that extra deal of being a 3-day weekend however due to important personal appointments, DH & I decided to take tomorrow off, too. Lucky me, I'm savoring a 4-day weekend. Wishing we have sweet post-Valentine family getaway plans but....nah?nah? With this "project" we are tackling these couple of days/weeks now, all we've been doing is to take it easy, slow down, sleep in, watch the $$spending, relax @home, and simply get prepared.

Yesterday, after our appointment we had late lunch at Soho Sushi and just strolled our hearts out by nearby the downtown area. After we got home....it must be the delicious food we ate because we "as a family" all took a 3-long hour nap. Ghheeezz, imagine that?! DH & I were staring at each other blurting out phrases after we woke up such as: " Man, I need to do extra work?!", "Yea, I should be doing my Accounting Comprehensive Problem homework?!", "Really, it's 6:30? we napped 3 hours!?!"....
For sure, if baby H could speak, she said "Oh, Mama I wanted to color, color book and not nap that long?!"
Lol!

Folks, it is Sunday morning and we "will" try to change the pattern here. Like I said, it's the long weekend holiday we must accomplish things before Tuesday morning, and not just pure cuddle and watching GOODNIGHT MOON on YOUTUBE as a family. Teehee!
Btw, this book I highly recommend for your littles. Our girl never sleeps at night without Number 1: Mama gets to read the book while she's having milk and touching her lovey blanky Number 2: Daddy let her watch the video, too with him on the computer. I snapped those photos on Friday night, and definitely adding it to my PL 2012 album. The reading ( and watching! ) of the GOODNIGHT MOON is a part of our evening routine. Kudos to Margaret Wise Brown! ;-)

Love Day 2012

Have a sweet and fantastic Valentine's Day 2012 from lil' girl cutie patootie Hannah!
Photos taken a few weeks ago by a friend of mine. Initially, I was planning of ordering Valentine cards online and send to family & friends, but decided to skip and save the moo-la$$$.

But, I created 2 layouts using these lovely pictures, too. Check it out and let me know how I did... ;-) I have a few more extra photos that I'm definitely adding into week 7 /8 of the PL album.

Until then, thanks for looking and enjoy your day.

XOXO.

Pre-Valentine gift

Hi! At my last post, I did mention I only wanted to relax and slow it down this weekend. Well, guess what folks.....it's been really nice and calm over here. With midterms exam done, I made it a point to be sitting pretty at home making crafts. Yesterday, after my emergency dental appointment in the morning we had an early Pre-Valentine family lunch at Kaenyama Japanese Restaurant and only went to church service after. In between the time intervals ( which included H's nap time schedule, afternoon walk, and cooking dinner ) I was able to quickly work on this cute Valentine present. In general, papercrafting just relaxes my mind and body.

Check it out.

Lovely, isnt it? And super cheap and easy, too. The mini tin mailbox is from Tar-get's dollar corner and those embellishments were from.....of course, the red bin box containing valentine scrappy stash. This altered mini mailbox will serve as one of my annual Valentine present to our cutest lil stinker named Hannah. It would contain yearly photos of her ( size: 3x4 wallet sizes ) taken around Heart's Day.

Off to bake chunky brownies as per DH's request. And that sweet & moist brown cake would serve as my pre-valentine present to him... hee!

Are you getting ready for Valentine's Day? It's coming right up....

XOXO.

A Multi-tasker

Need I say more? This week is going rapid speed and I’m so looking forward to the weekend to just slow it, really slow it down and breathe. I was hecka busy studying, why yes… I burned my eyebrows for the midterms exam which took place last night. So glad it’s over now. Overall, I think? I did well. I like it when I expect high and then at the end it was just alright….or manageable to my level of knowledge. However, I’ve been multi-tasking day & night. From regular work schedule, to Accounting class, homework, to life in the kitchen, to handling mommy and wifey duties, to attending Dr’s appointments, etc, etc… I want a vacation?! Lol!

Anyway, I snatched a few minutes of scrapping while the 'energetic little bubba' was napping on Sunday afternoon and finished up my Project 12 Challenge entry for January 2012. I'm not that super proud of this one due to the fact that I was stressed with school and tried grabbing a creative escape. Oh well? Project 12 Challenge is something I added to the 2012 Crafty Commitment Box, it's my way of getting caught up with baby H's pictures. I'm just behind 8 months?!?! Yikes.

And here are two pictures DH took last weekend when H got to meet Super Why? at COMCAST Store. Lovely, isn't it? Definitely printing these and add to the Project Life album -- week 5.

Hope you are having a good week and not multi-tasking so much..

XOXO.

Friday Randoms

- First off, a new pair of running shoes is off my shopping list this Winter. I was able to snatch a quick shopping time last night and got myself a pair a Suacony brand.

- Mid-term exam next week, which means Must.Burn.Eyebrows.Studying. No excuses! I'm definitely dragging myself to the library this weekend.

- Took little sweet H today to the mall to enjoy some play time by these fun rides. She had a good time riding them "stationary". Yepp, the moment you (waste) put 3 quarters and start the engine, she’ll scream NO!!! Nope, you cannot make them move. ;-(

- Airfare tickets to Manila booked for this Spring and settled for Cathay Pacific flight. Thanks to my sis for taking care of that one for me.

- SuperBowl Sunday is not so appealing for us again. DH said he’ll work on taxes while me and H hit the park Sunday pm. Maybe, some scrappy projects on the side.

- I found this Living Social coupon for Planet Beach Contempo Spa that is expiring end of this month. I better put my act together and call them for an appointment.

- Super Why? get to meet little girl H tomorrow....or the other way around. Hee! When I saw the email from Sprout.com about the grand opening of COMCAST Store nearby town …and Super Why? will be there from 3-4pm I got excited. H loves loves watching this show and it’s helping her with her Alphabets.

Have a great weekend!

XOXO.

Embrace your camera...2/2/12

Playing along with Amy....originally from the Andersons today. So glad iPhone pictures are welcome to use. Haha!

**Pictures taken last week when I was in the verge of doing strength exercises before dinner. Of course, the 'little one' had to participate. Love these pictures DH took! H was so happy making her own series of moves with me.

For now, it is your turn to "embrace the camera" on this pleasant Thursday afternoon.

XOXO.
